Nora Valtonen-Mattila

Ever since I was a child, I was drawn to bigger-than-life scenes, majestic and colossal planes whether it be on earth or in the sky. But it wasn't until I saw an exhibition of Yann Arthus-Bertrand in Madrid (Spain), that it truly clicked.

I love cinematographic style of photography. Capturing something so vast as a landscape with emotion. I want to capture a moment, a vision in time.

In addition to photography, I am an Astrophysics postgraduate, interested in the research of Dark Matter and high energy neutrinos, to name a few. This passion for Astrophysics led me to dig into Astrophotography. One of my favorite places to visit is the Greenbank Radioastronomy Observatory in WV, USA. 

I am also an experienced Make Up Artist, working for either projects or individuals. I was trained at a private academy and furthered my studies at MAC Pro between 2008-20010. In this same note, I do style and Make Up my subjects for my own portrait photography.
